Divergent Wealth Pty Ltd operates under the licence and compliance standards of Lifespan Financial Planning Pty Ltd (AFSL 229892), and we follow their data collection and cybersecurity obligations in full.

We collect personal information such as your name, contact details, financial situation, goals, and other relevant documents to provide appropriate financial advice. This is done in line with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Your data is stored securely using enterprise-grade systems with multi-layer protection, including:

  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) across internal platforms

  • Encrypted cloud storage and off-site backups

  • Compliance with the Essential Eight cybersecurity strategies recommended by the Australian Cyber Security Centre

We maintain electronic records of all advice, research, and file notes in a retrievable and auditable format, and your data is only accessed by authorised personnel.

We strongly discourage the use of email for sensitive documents.

Instead, clients are encouraged to use their secure client portal to upload personal or financial information. This helps protect your data from phishing, interception, or accidental exposure.

Divergent Wealth retains client files in accordance with Lifespan’s recordkeeping requirements for a minimum of seven years from the end of the client relationship.
